This is the best place to take your beloved animals. They are very thorough, caring and gentle. They take the time to explain everything clearly. All costs are agreed upon up front, so there is no question on how much is owed at the end of your appointment. The facility is always neat, clean and inviting. All my pets go to greenfield animal hospital, they even helped me with my pet duck once. Highly recommended!

I called for an appointment for my cat Cleo, age 17, as she had been not herself for several days - hiding in the closet, eating very little, and not socializing with us. I was worried that she was close to crossing the rainbow bridge. She was seen that afternoon. The vet and tech were so kind and gentle. A physical exam showed she had lost some weight but nothing else remarkable. The vet recommended blood work, which was done in-house with the results available within minutes. The only result that was out of the ordinary was her white blood cells, showing infection or inflammation. We were offered two courses of action and chose the less radical: an antibiotic and an appetite stimulant, with observation to continue at home and a return if necessary. We went home with Cleo, her meds, and some prescription food. I'm happy to say she is doing so much better! She's eating well and enjoying her special diet, as well as spending time with us again. She's been going to Greenfield Animal Hospital since we moved here 8 years ago and I wouldn't bring her anywhere else.

I found Greenfield when my parrot dismantled a toy and pierced his cheek with a piece of it. It was an urgent situation on a weekend and we could find no one with a bird expert - until we called Greenfield, where several exotic specialists are employed. They saved my bird. I use them now for my cats, dog, and Guinea pig, and have always had superb experiences. I highly recommend this practice!

My German Shepherd is spoiled when we go to Greenfield Animal Hospital. Everyone is so understanding since my boy is a loud mouth too. So glad we have their personal pet insurance it helps out tremendously and so worth it. 🐾❤️ Here's my handsome boy after a Spa day at Greenfield Animal Hospital. …

Let me start by saying we are new to the Queensbury area and had not yet found a vet who would take on new patients when all this went down. My husband I brought our cat here on a Sunday thinking we were going to have to let him go. Long story, but he had been quite ill and spent 2 nights and 3 days at Upstate Veterinary Hospital in Latham. They took good care of him there, he had a very high fever, fluid in his chest. We were able to bring him home Saturday with meds and told to kept track of his temperature. That night was not good at all and his fever spiked again (which we were told was not a good sign) and he just looked like he was done. Mind you he is also not eating or drinking during this time. The person who answered the phone was so kind and even though they were booked got us in that afternoon. After thinking we would be leaving without our cat, we left with him and now the following Friday he is doing great. Dr. Akawi took the time to examine Dusty, look over his records from Latham, and sent us home with some additional protocols. I can never thank them enough for not just putting him ”down” and collecting our money. Even they were overbooked already they were kind and compassionate and let us know that that day was not the day for Dusty. Thank you thank you!

I have rats and have been to a couple places and no one treated them with compassion like Greenfield. They actually treated them like real animals and not "things". I am very thankful i found this place so close to where i live. The building could use some TLC if i had to say a con.

We were camping and from out of state, when we noticed a spot on our dogs leg that was bothering him. We were afraid that it would get infected by the time we got home, so I called Greenfield Animal Hospital and setup an appointment that afternoon. Dr. Hunnicutt and his assistant were wonderful with Scout. Very thorough checking him out and going over details with me on what they were going to do plus going over the medications and the bill. The next day, we got a follow up call to check on how Scout was doing. I recommend Greenfield Animal Hospital.

I brought our family dog here after he had gotten loose and had multiple ticks embedded in his skin. They diagnosed him with Lyme and treated him antibiotics. I rehomed him to my parents house and he seemed to be having flare ups, and when they brought him in they said he had never been treated by them for Lyme and refused to treat him. Even with proof of treatment (antibiotic prescription and pain pills) they still refused to test and treat. By the time we were able to get him into a different place it was too late and we had to put him down. I will never bring another animal to Greenfield. Not sure how a whole medical record can just disappear and then refuse to accept prescription bottles with your doctor's name and facility name. Do better!
